"One app to rule them all, please!"

Alongside completing our NHS App survey, residents shared their experiences of using the NHS App and accessing healthcare through other digital services during community conversations and engagement activities across the borough and Reading.
A key theme that emerged from this feedback is a need for a simpler and more joined-up digital healthcare experience.
While many residents valued the convenience of managing appointments, prescriptions and health records online, others described difficulties navigating the NHS App alongside multiple websites, platforms and systems.
People told us they were sometimes unsure which platform to use, unclear about the role of the NHS App, and frustrated when services and features varied depending on their GP surgery or healthcare provider.
We also heard that digital healthcare experiences are not always consistent. Some residents described challenges accessing services through the NHS App, while others felt that using multiple systems made managing their healthcare more complicated.
These experiences highlight the importance of digital healthcare that is easy to understand, consistent across services and accessible to everyone.
The final infographic in our NHS App series shares a selection of the experiences and insights residents shared with us during this project.
