The Big Conversation is your chance to share your views on the future of adult social care.

Adult social care supports adults with care and support needs. This includes old people, disabled people and people with long term health conditions. Most of us will need care at some point in our lives or have a loved one who will. We pay for social care through our taxes. So care matters to all of us.

The Big Conversation, led by Baroness Louise Casey, is part of the work  being undertaken by the Independent Commission on Adult Social Care, also known as the Casey Commission. Baroness Casey was asked by the Prime Minister to consider how adult social care should change to meet the needs of current and future generations, and to make recommendations for reform.

You are invited  to share your views on who should provide care and support for older people, disabled people, and people with serious illness — and how that support should work. The Commission wants input from the wider public, people who use care, unpaid carers, and people working in adult social care.

Your feedback will inform a Public Panel on Care, a randomly selected group of people broadly reflecting England’s population. The panel will consider evidence, deliberate on difficult choices and trade-offs, and make recommendations to the Commission,
