The Government’s NHS 10-year plan aims to improve healthcare access through technology and digital tools. By 2028, the NHS App is planned to be 'a full front door to the entire NHS.'
Whilst this may be good news for some people, we are concerned about people who do not use the NHS app, especially people facing digital exclusion, such as older adults, people with limited technology skills and people with no access to smart devices. What happens to their access to healthcare services and support, now and in the future?
Healthwatch Wokingham Borough has partnered with Healthwatch Reading on a joint project to explore how residents in Wokingham Borough and Reading are experiencing or missing out on digital healthcare services.
Our goal is to build a clear local picture that we can share with NHS England and local healthcare leaders, to help tackle digital exclusion and improve access to, and support for, people using the NHS App.
We would love to hear about your experience using the NHS app through our short, anonymous survey. We would like your feedback if you:
Use the NHS app regularly
Have tried it a few times
Have never used it
Your voice matters and will help to make a change!

We understand that not everyone has access to or feels comfortable using online surveys. That’s why our online survey is just one of the ways we’re collecting feedback.
Our engagement team, Shamin and Claire, are actively out in the community across Wokingham Borough, speaking with people face-to-face. Click here to see where you can find us over the next few months: Sept & Oct: Out and about with the team
