Winner of the Community Education Award!

We are thrilled to announce that we, in collaboration with Healthwatch Reading, have been honoured with a Community Education Award at Utulivu Women’s Group 2024 Grassroots Communities Awards in Reading. This recognition celebrates the impactful projects we’ve worked on together, and we couldn’t be more proud to share this achievement!

The award was presented to both Healthwatch teams at the Reading Council Chambers.

The award recognises: 

"Individuals and organisations working in the communities who are empowering them through education for health and wellbeing."

We would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Razan Gorma, the ‘Inspirational Young People’s Award’ winner for her outstanding positive impact on the community!

Our paths often cross with Razan as she volunteers some time supporting the Healthwatch Reading team.

We would also like to congratulate all the other award winners of the night – all champions of local communities.

The 2024 Utulivu Women  Grassroot Communities Awards celebrate women-led grassroots initiatives making a meaningful impact in communities. The awards recognise leaders who have championed social, economic, and environmental causes, often in underserved regions, creating sustainable change at the local level.
