We’re delighted to share that our recent report on young women’s experiences with sexual health services and wellbeing has received encouraging responses from local healthcare providers,  services and community partners.

The report highlights key challenges faced by young women across the borough and Reading in accessing the support they need; from concerns about confidentiality to gaps in information and service availability. It also offers practical recommendations based on what we heard directly from young people.

Since its release, several organisations have reached out to thank us for amplifying these important voices. Some have already begun reviewing their services, whilst others are exploring ways to better involve young people in designing future health and wellbeing support.

The team and youth team volunteers are all encouraged by this momentum and will continue to follow up to ensure young women’s experiences help shape more accessible, inclusive, and responsive services across the borough and beyond.

The responses can be found by downloading the report below (see from page 17 onwards) or by clicking here.
