I have been part of corporate life for over 30 years. Like most people in Wokingham Borough, I have never worried about Health and Social Care. I take it all for granted. It will be there when I need it. And I am lucky. But what about in the future? And what about for the more vulnerable? And what about for our children? Well, that was enough to get me to volunteer to support Healthwatch and use my business background to help develop Healthwatch Wokingham as a Consumer Voice for Health and Social Care.
We are 167,000 people in Wokingham Borough and I believe we are all in Healthwatch. That should be enough to shout loudly. Please get involved and email, phone or write to us to be part of this and learn more. firstname.lastname@example.org

I have lived in Wokingham for 35 years. I have 3 grown up children all of whom were born in Wokingham and two grandchildren. I am particularly interested in the care of the elderly, especially concerning dementia. I also have an interest in diabetes and the treatment of leukaemia in young children as I lost a brother to this at 2 years of age.
Having retired as a Finance Director in the Rail Industry, I joined Healthwatch Wokingham with a view to helping to improve the overall quality of health and social care provision in the Borough. We are here to champion the rights of the consumer and to listen and to address their concerns in which way we can influence the providers and funders of the services in the Borough. firstname.lastname@example.org
